EPA's Permit Management Oversight System (PMOS)

Avanti designed and developed a web application to support EPA’s management of the priority permits process, prepares semi-annual backlog reports, maintains and provides development services for PMOS to manage priority, tribal, and general permits. Avanti works closely with EPA on developing and maintaining an updated public search tool for general permit summary information, and provides ad hoc support related to queries on backlog, priority permits, and other permit tracking activities. Technologies used include: PL/SQL, Oracle databases, and Oracle APEX.

EPA's Advanced Public Search

Avanti designed and developed a series of web applications for public usage. These applications allow users to search through all 2008 and 2012 Construction General Permits, 2008 Multi-Sector General Permits, 2008 Vessel General Permits, 2011 Pesticide General Permits, and the NPDES General Permit Web Inventory. Each application was created using PL/SQL and Oracle APEX, along with best UX practices.

USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline

The USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline is a toll‐free telephone service that helps educate consumers to prevent food borne illness, specifically by answering their questions about safe storage, handling, and preparation of meat, poultry, and egg products. Team Avanti designed, developed, tested, and deployed a Hotline Call Management system for the USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). Avanti utilized existing FSIS infrastructure to develop a system that integrates aspects of a CRM, Call Center Quality Monitoring system, and information outlet for consumers who contact the hotline. The application is used by USDA staff to track the food safety inquiries received via its 800 telephone number and through inquiries to the USDA Meat and Poultry Hotline electronic mailbox. The following technologies and tools were used: .NET 3.5 framework; C# programming language; SQL Server 2005 backend; and Visual Studio 2008.
